Here are the rules for the Ladders

Rules are for single player and teams, ROR and AOK.

  • The ladders are run and maintained by Louie
therefore any disputes will be settled by Louie
his word is the final word.

  • To move up in the ladder you have to challenge, play,
and then beat another team ranked higher than you. Then
you take half of the total of ranks between you and move up
that many places in the rankings. For example : Team A is
ranked #4 team B is ranked #2 - if Team A wins, the total is
1 place {4-2=2/2=1} then Team A moves up to be ranked #3. The
team that was ranked #3 will move down to #4. The only way to
become #1 is to make it to #2 and then beat the #1 team. If total
is an odd number i.e. 1.5 the total get's rounded down to 1.

  • To challange a team, post a message on the
message board with the heading of challange and the
team name or player. EX. "Challenge for Ninja"

  • When a team gets multiple challenges, they must take them in
the order in which they come - that way the #1 team won't be
    getting all of the challenges.

  • You cannot challenge a team that you are on - DUH

  • The winning team will E-Mail me a screen shot of the
victory for verification. To create a screenshot, hit
CTRL-F12(both games). The screenshot will be saved in your Age
Of Empires folder under the file name aoe0002.bmp.
The number will start at 0001, and progress from there.
I want a screenshot of the achievments, after the game ends.
For an example of the screenshot I want, see the bottom of this page

  • In team games, there should be 2 survivors max, in
single players, one survivor max, this is diplayed on
the screenshot I want. In other words, you have to kill
your opponent, no cheap disconnection victories, I know
you can't help what your ISP may do to you

  • Disconnections are played over,
If you disconnect 3 times, you lose.

  • Settings are up to the highest ranking team. This includes all
settings: speed, civs, map, etc, etc - no scenarios are allowed.
There are however minimun requirements to avoid this getting
stupid. No DM, No Reveal, Map min huge, Pop min 100,
and conquest-meaning no cheap Wonder or Ruin Victories.

  • Teams can be switched at will. This means you can make up
new teams all the time, you are never stuck with having one
partner, but when making new teams, you start at the bottom of
the ladder. And yes, you can be on more than one team

  • Rules for challenges

  • Again, You cannot challenge a team that you are on - DUH

  • Again, To challange a team, post a message on the
message board with the heading of challange and the
team name or player. EX. "Challenge for Ninja"

  • The challanged team must take the challenges in the order
they are posted. At any given time a team can't be challenged more
than 3 times. This means 4 teams can not all challenge the #1
team. Only the first 3 will be accepted. Once they post the
results for one of the matches, one more challenge can be
accepted. Since the message board will be used to post challanges,
the order in which they are posted, is the order in which they must
be played in order to avoid confusion.

  • To respond to a challenge, post a response to the
    message on the message board.

  • Have fun with this. If you get mouthy and ruin it for others
your team will lose it's rank. If you cannot be a good sport,
you will lose your rank. If you bitch and moan excessively, you
will lose your rank. There will be a ZERO tolerance rule for bad
behavior. This is made to be fun, if you act like an ASS, you'll
be suspended and/or banned from any ladder competition.

Have fun in there and good luck taking the #1 ranking!
